FIND YOUR WINEthumbprint cellars offers 3 very different and distinct Cabernet Sauvignon wines. Alexander Valley, Dry Creek Valley and Knights Valley each boast exquisite varietal character. Our extensive selection includes single-vineyard Cabernet, Library Wines, Large Format Wines, and wines to enjoy right now.
Single Varietal Reds
Here you’ll find Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Grenache, Pinot Noir, Syrah, and Carignane and so much more. Our single varietals wines are meant to capture the 3 V’s – Vintage, Vineyard and Varietal— think of these as a ‘snapshot’ of a particular place and time; the history of these 3 V’s captured in every bottle.
Red Wine Blends
Our Founder/Winemaker, Scott Lindstrom-Dake, pours his heart and soul into our Red Blends. The results are spectacularly artistic blended wines. Scott refused to pay to use the word Meritage (heritage with an M) and asked the thumbprint family to help name his blends. The results – “three varietals entangled in an orgy of aromas and flavors” became his three some, four varietals that play nicely together his four play and who doesn’t want to finish with a Climax? Not us, for sure. Don’t forget to start with Arousal – our white wine blend is certain to get you in the mood!
White Wines
After winning several Gold Medals and Best in Class awards for his white wines, our winemaker’s wife proclaimed him a “white Wine Specialist!” No joke, our selection of white wines includes 2 beautifully balanced chardonnays – one oak-aged, the other with no-oak. You’ll also love our single-vineyard Viognier, and our Arousal and soon-to-be-released grenache blanc. Don’t miss out on these complex, chilled sippers.
Library Wines
Our Library Wines — specific vintages held back in thumbprint’s private cellar — are ready for immediate enjoyment. You certainly can’t go wrong adding these to your collection.
Sculptured Cellars Wines
Our Sculptured Cellars Wines are the product of focused, experimental effort. The project began when an artisan Cooper (barrel maker) visited from France. His limited-production barrels delivered new and exciting nuances to our wines; this spurred our obsession to control other aspects of production — like dialing in an exact pick date and location, and experimenting with fermentation methods.
Rosé, Port, & Sparkling Wines
Our sophisticated Port Wines, crisp and refreshing Rosé, and Brut Sparkling Wine are a welcome addition to any collection. Whether sipping by the fire on a wintery evening or pouring a glass in celebration, these wines are not to be missed.
